Funereal Duskywing

Well, what a simply depressing, morose, and gloomy, doomy name for an otherwise nondescript Duskywing. Just sayin.' These lovelies are common here spring to fall. The white fringes along the hindwing are indicative.


7/31/10 Funereal Duskywing (Erynnis funeralis) on a Butterfly Bush off the portico at the front entrance.
